About Our School

AFNorth Middle/High School is a Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) 6-12 school. AFNorth is located in Brunssum, Limburg, the Netherlands, in the heart of Northwest Europe - an area which is often referred to as "the balcony of Europe”, or "land with-out frontiers” because of its easy access to several countries.

Our school is a part of AFNorth International School (AIS) which is comprised of educational institutions of 4 nations: United States, Canada, Germany, and United Kingdom. (AIS) has a long and proud tradition of excellence in academics, the arts, extracurricular activities and learning how to live in a multi-cultural world. From the very first day of school all students should use each minute to learn from the teachers, make new friends, develop new skills, participate in all the activities, and use the resources available at AIS and in the local communities.
