Radley Ramirez
Biography
Mr. Radley Ramirez is honored to serve the AFNORTH Middle High School community as assistant principal. He brings more than two decades of experience in education, with a strong background in instructional leadership, educational technology, and student-centered learning.
Ramirez earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from Old Dominion University, where he developed a solid foundation in instructional theory and classroom practice. He later completed a master’s degree in educational leadership from Framingham State University, further strengthening his expertise in school administration and leadership.
He began his DoWEA career in 1999 as a student teacher at Baumholder Middle School and was hired the following year as a classroom teacher. Over the next 20 years, Ramirez taught math, language arts, web design, computer service and repair, and Cisco Networking Academy courses at Baumholder Middle High School, serving students in both academic and career-focused programs.
Most recently, Ramirez served as an educational technology Instructional Systems Specialist (ISS) with the DoWEA Europe Center for Instructional Leadership, where he supported educators and school leaders in implementing DoWEA priorities and advancing instructional practices to promote student excellence.
Ramirez is committed to fostering positive, supportive learning environments where students and staff feel empowered to succeed. He values collaborative leadership and is dedicated to developing programs that encourage student voice, leadership, and growth while ensuring teachers have the tools and support needed to lead effective classrooms.
His commitment to service is deeply rooted in his family’s military heritage. Ramirez and his wife have been military-connected since birth, with family members serving across multiple generations in both the U.S. Philippine Army and the U.S. Navy. His wife currently serves as a DoWEA speech-language pathologist at Smith Elementary School, and their children are graduates of Baumholder Middle High School. This strong personal connection gives Ramirez a deep understanding of and appreciation for the experiences of military-connected students and families.
